Any scores from today? Whitman St. John’s?
SJC won 21-6
PVI-Holton score?
PVI won 13-4
That’s a bit of a surprise?
Not a surprise. PVI is good this year. They were the top WCAC school at the St. James winter league.
PVI will be the third best team in the WCAC this year behind GC and BI. Holton seems to be suffering the same fate as a lot of other independent schools in the area that have chosen to de-emphasize athletics.
In prior years, I would agree. I have no connection to either school, but I think PVI will surprise some people this year. Would not be surprised if they come in second behind GC.
Agree. Shame they didn't get to play BI last year because that would give us a much better idea of where they match up this year. |
BI not as strong as in year's past
Bullis 14 Good Counsel 20
SSSAS 12 Garrison Forest 13
So is Bullis a weak team? On paper they look like they’d be strong but they seem to be unable to win against mediocre teams.
|
Actually I don’t think GC is a mediocre team but surprised by the score differential. Did GC have all of their players today? I thought they would win by more given the recent squawking of their parents. Lots of chirping about their scrimmages against Saint Paul’s and NDP. What gives?
|
Yes there were some self-congratulatory comments on their courage to play the top Baltimore teams, but can only beat Bullis by 6. Hmm….
