Is my DC hosed b/c of my negative DCUM comment?

I don't see how anyone could, while raging against the moral corruption of such a culture, still be intent on reapplying for admission there!

Prezactly!

Would you want your dc to go to a school where he/she has been blacklisted because of some disagreement with the admin and the parent?
dc is going to attend the school, not the parent. If a school does not get this, then tell us what school it is so that I will not apply there

How is that parent ever going to know for sure that the reason for her child's rejection is her differences with the admin (or her negative posts on this board) so that she can tell you that the school "does not get this" and you can know not to apply there?

Anyway, isn't the identity of the school obvious from the descriptions on this thread?

I've taught in independent schools. Nobody from any school is compiling a future blackball list based on the chance that they have correctly figured out the identity of disgruntled DCUM posters. Now, if the parent is serving up that same heady cocktail of anger/paranoia/resentment in person, they may notice and not want to go out of their way and add her to the school community--but even that's a stretch. They ant good kids and believe me, every school in DC knows they will have to deal with their share of "difficult" parents.
