What a stupid comment. Youngkin called a state of emergency in VA prior to the last big snowstorm. He had VDOT ready and waiting. He wasn't slow at all - he was efficient and fast. I have no doubt he'll react quickly to this issue as well.

Plus, Snowstorms aren’t political. It will be interesting to see whether Little Trumpkin has the Guard stand down and sticks it to NoVA (CIA and Pentagon access, etc). He wants to run for POTUS. Mobilizing and arresting the “Freedom Convoy” doesn’t get it done. Quite a dilemma for Mr. Youngkin. I’ll enjoy watching him squirm.

I can't even with the stupidity. Youngkin had to deal with a bad snowstorm one day after he was inaugurated. And he did - with grace and aplomb. Unlike say, Northam, who couldn't be bothered.

Do they have a right to get a permit and stand on the mall with signs? Heck yes. Do they have a right to block the beltway or major arteries in the national capital during the SoTU when is the highest profile security event of the year? No. They do not. Get a permit. Go express yourself.

There are federal government buildings near the mall and Smithsonian’s . Plus, the Smithsonian’s and Monuments themselves can be targets. After the insurrection and Oklahoma City, no one is going to get a semi just hang out in that area. Can you imagine the bomb that could be in the back? Or the ammunition to open fire on the mall?

Yep +1. Truckers in the US live in red states and generally aren’t subject to a lot of COVID regs right now. The beauty of a democratic republic. I’m all for it and support them 100% but expect this to be a nothing-burger. Hilarious how much the mainstream media is trying to make it seem like some impending disaster though.
