2) their children are in the show which is SO GROSS. That should be illegal. Make a living without exploiting your children.

3) By far the most interesting and f$&ed up thing about the show is that he has an older son whose origin is kind of murky? Apparently he has a mother who was not a surrogate and who was paid millions to never contact him.

What.
What.

How is a huge soccer star walking around with this deal and people pretend it’s ethical? His son is like the most F$&ed up Disney Princess ever. How could he possibly have a healthy relationship with a father who PAID HIS MOTHER TO GO AWAY I just cannot even. I cannot. Omg.

I thought everyone knew 3? He’s almost certainly a closeted homosexual. How could she make a living without the kids? They’re basically the reason she’s famous.

That is the first thing I thought when I saw pictures with the family.

On what basis are you calling him a closeted homosexual? He also has an ongoing civil trial going on for an alleged r*ape of a girl when he was partying in Vegas over a decade ago. Look up Kathryn Mayorga.

But the kicker for me was when Georgina and the oldest son went to the Formula One tour together. It seemed like they were guests of Ferrari and some guy named Hamilton who is friends with Ronaldo. So Ferrari clearly sends to the yacht all this red Ferrari gear (polos, hats, etc), and Georgina and the son wear the shirts and the hats, all decked out in bright red Ferrari uniforms that to me made them look like part of the pit crew or some Ferrari uber fan. She's wearing super tight jeans, red Ferrari polo and red Ferrari cap, son is in similar.

So it becomes clear they are being given a tour by the Casiraghi brothers (Princess Caroline's sons's and Grace Kelly's grandchildren) and Beatrice Borromeo. Georgina makes a comment about how all of them were impeccably dressed in fine suites, etc. and how she felt embarrassed in her Ferrari gear. She also couldn't' figure out who the people were, how they were related, how they are significant to Monaco. I felt pretty bad for this woman at that point. Honestly, when you're this famous (or your boyfriend is and you're clearly going to an appearance as his proxy/agent because he can't) it should have been someone's job to have better prepared her for this (what to wear, how to act, background on who she would meet, etc). She laughs it off but I cringed for her. We've all been somewhere where we felt we didn't fit in, or worn the wrong clothes, said the wrong thing etc. Except I didn't have my yacht to go back to.
Lewis Hamilton. He's the most successful Formul One driver to date.

Hamilton is the former McLaren and current Mercedes driver not Ferrari. No way he was in Ferrari gear, as that would've been a massive no-no. You sure you had the right person?

Oh, so I just looked at this bc had no idea what this person was talking about. They took the yacht to Monaco. Monaco is the venue for one of the biggest F1 races of the year. They were decked in Ferrari gear bc that was the team they were supporting. It would make sense because she's Spanish. Carlos Sainz is from Spain (along with Alonso) and one of the driver's for Ferrari. So they were supporting one of the two Spanish drivers in F1. I watched 4 minutes. Man, what a terrible show.

I thought she's from Argentina not Spain.

Actually the first child was born from a one night stand with a woman in Britain. He famously paid her 1 million pounds to relinquish custody fully.

I have to assume this woman had free agency here. She agreed to it. So while I am not a Ronaldo fan (or soccer for that matter) I don’t understand the anger with a man taking responsibility and raising his child. She’s essentially a Debbie Rowe. People don’t like to admit some women don’t want be mothers (at all or at certain stages of life). Her choice. And she gave custody to the baby’s father. This isn’t baby selling a la Angelina Jolie.

I wouldn't assume that. Given his financial resources there could have been a ton of pressure on her to give up her parental rights

If you cannot, then don't watch it. If you can, maybe watch his documentary from a few years ago, I think it's on Amazon. He is really great with his son. If you followed soccer AT ALL you would already know: the mother of his oldest child is probably a waitress/bartender that he met while out partying in the US that he knocked up. She didn't want to have the baby. He is very religious and firmly against abortion so he agreed to take full custody and paid her a settlement and took custody when he was born. The woman does NOT want contact but when the boy is 18 Ronaldo will give him her identity in case they want to meet then.

Seriously, you didn't know that?

Bull crap. That’s not an adoption, it’s a purchase.

It isn't an adoption it is his kid! She didn't want to be involved with him or the baby. He wanted his baby. Done.

You got it backwards...he didn't want long-term involvement with her.

Internet says she has 1 parent from Spain and 1 from Argentina if anyone cares or trusts the 'net.

Real Spanish or Hilaria Spanish?

She is from Spain. She travels back to her hometown in the show and and is received as a hero essentially

I don’t speak any of the romance languages, but I found myself wondering if she and her boyfriend and friends were speaking in Spanish or in Portuguese or both? What do the kids speak or do they know both? I know the two languages have similarities, but I don’t know enough to know which language they were speaking one while watching. A lot of The scenes she was with her friends from Spain and the eldest son; so is she speaking Spanish with her Spanish friends and not in Portuguese to Portuguese son. don’t know. Just something I was interested in.

I imagine that since Ronaldo had a very long career at Real Madrid his oldest son speaks Spanish (and probably Portuguese because I saw a documentary about Ronaldo a few years ago before this girlfriend and his mother/the grandmother was pretty much the nanny, so I assume she spoke to him in Portuguese).

I believe when this current show is filmed, Ronaldo is living in Italy playing for Juventus. Now he's back in England. So maybe all of them speak as many languages as the Pope, who knows.

The way he uses money to control women’s uteruses is also weird AF. My prediction is she’ll be shut out as soon as he has enough children. This closeted hyper religious control freak has issues.

Mommy issues.

PP here. Maybe. I don’t know anything about his relationship with his mother. I do know that he’s been photographed in enough compromising positions over the years with men like Badr Hari for there not to be something there. He’s closeted and deeply religious and uses his money to turn women into brood mares he barely interacts with otherwise. Anyone trying to pretend this is normal has serious mental problems and is probably a misogynist.

And what mother abandons her son? Sick. Georgina is clearly his beard.

I speak both Spanish and Portuguese. Georgina is Spanish. Her accent is very clearly Spanish (not Argentine) and she talks about growing up in Spain in the show (plus, Spain talks about it a lot). Internet says she was born in Argentina but apparently was only born there then whisked away to Spain.

There are a lot of Portuguese in the show who speak to her in Portuguese and she responds in Spanish. This is common between Portugues-Spanish. You can usually understand one if you speak the other, though maybe unable to speak it. Ronaldo speaks both fluently and he speaks in both Sp/Por with her. She speaks in Spanish with the kids, including oldest. They respond in Spanish. Ro speaks in Port with kids. I know his oldest speaks Portuguese fluently but not sure about the toddlers.
