I am not sure what kind of source it is but the content in the article isn't new and has certainly happened in the US as well and there have been mainstream news articles on it.

"This means that some deaths, we don’t know how many, that occurred as a result of something else and not COVID have been added to the COVID death count. There is great potential here for misleading inflation of numbers." - I don't doubt this happened in the US as well, eventually I suspect that the CDC will adjust the stats to show the same type of information for the US. It doesn't mean that people didn't die from Covid. It's not a denial that people died. It's just that some people tested positive for covid but died from something else.
