| The problem is the media treats people like Youngkin as serious people. This gives them legitimacy. |
| The problem is the media snoozed on the idiots who won the down ballot races. Totally mediocre people and candidates who now have a lot of real power. |
And the media do it for money. NYT and WaPo Politics troll liberals for clicks. That’s their business model. Look at the most-clicked articles on the site: it’s all Opinion and Politics. We got Coathanger Glenn Youngkin so Ashley Parker and Maggie Haberman and Peter Baker could sell subscriptions and ads to the NYT/WaPo audience |
True in part - but the Dems have a lot of responsibility for falling asleep at the wheel. I'm pretty engaged in this stuff and I don't think anyone in the party tried that hard. Even when things started looking bad I think they figured Ds would just muscle through. |
| Did everyone here really forget why Youngkin won? T-mac was a dreadful candidate, and people wanted schools open and teaching the three Rs and not social engineering. It's that simple. |
It you can't vote a straight party ticket, the Democratic party isn't for you. But remember Republicans, voting a straight party ticket is clearly group think. |
| Lol at this. You are insane. The media is so far left of most Americans! |
|
Huh? I recall reading article after article about appeals to suburban parents being racist dog whistles. |
They can't even define it. They just engage in handwavey bogeyman stuff wrapped in some dogwhistles and a suggestion that whites are being oppressed. And as for the anti-mandate stance, that only plays into the false notion that the pandemic is just the cold and nothing to worry about and that the prevention is somehow worse than the disease itself... Get back to us when vaccines and masks have killed 800k Americans, |
|
Our media is pro-Republican in practice, because wrongheaded journalists feel like they must remain neutral on lies.
This is how we got Youngkin. VA voters don’t know how extreme the GOP is. https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-real-tragedy-of-jan-6-is-that-its-still-not-over

We all understand this but it's the media that needs to hear this and change course. |
| Lol! |
Watch how they cover Cruz and Paul. Cruz said he would support Texas leaving the Union but some how no asks about this when he is running for president? |
+100 on the insanity. How far left does one have to be to accuse the media of having a right-bias?!?! Holy batguano! |
