Media called Youngkin moderate. Our political media is conservative-biased

The media in general is complicit in constantly lying to the American public about everything! Occasionally they cover something half decent.

Establishment Dems + Republicans are exactly the same. Elite and don’t want to lose power and get richer. Pelosi for example. They will do and say whatever they believe the public wants or their advisors tell them too. How Biden had his executive orders ready to go because his cmap had it all written for him beforehand. Passed more orders than any other President before him.

Ok the two extremes are populists movements. The so claims Bernie camp and Trump. People gravitate towards those because they are sick of the lies that the establishment tells them.

Because of the continuing of lies and beating the establishment is giving Americans in the grocery store and lying of the real reason of interdependence. Populists movements will be on the rise. So expect more chaos in general.

What an insipid analysis devoid of any original thinking. Oh my Republicans and Democrats are the same, the media is failing us blah blah.

Sounds authoritarian.

And yet Canadians have more freedom than Americans does.

Still sounds authoritarian.

NP: The CRT one. “CRT” now means whatever the Republicans ranting about it want it to mean. Continuing to whitewash history, particularly with younger students who may lack the ability to realize that they are being taught a very limited and biased”history “ is as extremist as it gets, although not unusual, particularly in former cradle-of-the-Confederacy states.

What is hilarious is that the progressives insist on one hand the "CRT is not in schools" and then absolutely lose their minds when someone bans it from schools, an order that they claim would obviously ban nothing at all...

Really? It’s not in school and yet you crazies are banning it. This is just a republicans tool to enforce hive mind thinking. They will go through the school and punish anything that does not conform to Fox News and Tucker Carlson.

This point is coming up because this is an institutional Republican talking point.

The reality is that the GOP has become a radical pro-authoritarian party. But the best way to hide that and tamp down criticism is to say "both sides are the same"

The rightwing media – Fox which is the most popular cable channel, the Murdoch WSJ, huge rightwing talk radio network, the regular top-shared outlets on Facebook like Daily Wire – push this point like crazy. This poster you're quoting seems to be fooled by all those lies from rightwing media.

If it isn't in schools then you have nothing to be bothered about. Obviously there is no problem here.

CRT — it’s part of a culture war, not reality
Masks — it goes against all the guidance of local and national health authority guidance

These aren’t extremists-it’s giving CHOICE back to citizens. I don’t need the government making decisions for me-I can do that myself. Dems don’t like giving citizens to think for themselves-dems want to control what I think, and how I should act. You want to wear a mask-go for it! But, don’t impede on my decision to wear or not wear one.

The republicans are the ones who are banning books, constraining speech, and banning abortion. So, no, they're interested in letting citizens think for themselves or live their lives free of interference. Nice try.

Ex-Wa Po reporter Dan Froomkin:

NYT cover-up of Youngkin’s racist dog whistle continues.

He's right. Our neutral political media has covered up GOP racist dog whistles by framing them in soft language. Why does the NYT cover up what Republicans are doing? It's maddening.

Just think about it. Anyone who was paying attention clearly could predict Youngkin would do all these radical extrmist executive orders on being inaugurated.

And these actions are widely toxic to moderate voters.

But MODERATE VOTERS DID NOT KNOW that Youngkin would do this extreme stuff. Because NYT and WaPo and CNN didn't tell them.

That's a big big problem for our democracy.

Youngkin is only in office because US political media is a smoking dumpster fire of Republican lie amplification.

And people who work at those political desks don't realize they're failing our country.

Ummm, Youngkin campaigned on promises that he would sign the very executive orders that he signed yesterday. I don’t understand, whether you agree with the orders or not, how you can say there was some type of media effort to hide what he intended to do. He did what he said he was going to do, Isn’t that what people want politicians to do?

Huh? The media has lied throughout history. Muckraking? Walter Kronkite? This isn’t some institutional talking point or new thing? It’s factual. I don’t watch the news or even have a Facebook. Why are people surprised that media is a business.

Also I think what you’re saying is that Fox News is saying CNN lies. But if they are, it would stand to reason so does the right media. You’d have to be an idiot to believe one but not the other. And Vice verse. Fox is trash and so is CNN. I don’t watch trash. The media has always lied and embellished. Media is a business not in the best interest of the consumer but it’s advertisers.

The problem is what they are definiting as CRT. Which is not actually CRT.
