Snow day Friday? Sigh.

Ridiculous.

The poster from the other thread was right. School should have resumed on Monday.

(SPOILER ALERT) This closure isn’t just because of the snow.

What does "this is a total whiff" mean?

Means they think the snow will be a non event and OPM closed prematurely.

I got the context but have never seen the phrase. Does "whiff" mean not real or nothin?

I’ve always heard it in the context of baseball, a huge swing with no contact with the ball is called a total whiff. So, it basically means a big embarrassing strike.

Whiff is when you put a ball on a tee or get an easy pitch and still miss it. I doubledown on my whiff and add DCPS to OPM

We've wasted almost a whole week. As we're heading into a weekend, the testing did what? Protect kids sort of for one day. Kids will be in emergency childcare tomorrow, doing whatever this weekend...

So we go back on Monday next week in the same place we were, no safer, and with four days of the year just...gone. And how much time did they waste on testing outside of schools today?

Thank you.

DCPS never closed for snow in the past. Test results are a different story

DCPS immediately needs to distribute rapids on Sunday so we can reset after bad weekend behavior.

And every Sunday to follow.
