Helo figuring out childcare / socializing

Please delay daycare. It will not help your child develop in a good way. Babies and toddlers need to be at home if at all possible.

OP! Comparison is the THIEF of joy!! Get off social media and go meet some friends. A mom in my area (north potomac/potomac) started a playground crawl where she rotates playgrounds every week. When my boy was a baby I met several moms at our hospital’s mom meet up called Discovering motherhood; it was a great place to talk about lactation, sleep schedules, and getting out of one’s PJs. I met a couple of moms who are my good friends to this day. The oldest kids are 9 and 8, littles are 4,6,7. In addition, I have tried to befriend the moms of my children’s favorite friends and this has yielded some great results. You will find your tribe in baby days, you will grow together, and the tribe will change!!! Keep trying and don’t give up. It’s not just covid, keep at it and don’t give up!!

Daycare definitely helped my young toddler's development after being home for 5 months during the pandemic and her SLP agreed.
