Btw, DS was rejected from Notre Dame two years ago even though both DH and I and one grandfather are alumni.

I have been an alumni interviewer for harvard and if i recall correctly, legacy admit rate is about 25%. A large majority of legacy applicants are rejected.

My legacy kid was one of them. Had the stats and ECs but we didn't give seven figures.

My kid is a legacy at UM College Park and UMBC. Has aspirations greater than U of M, rejected both school’s and applied elsewhere.
