So, Luke Wilson is nice looking but not gorgeous. He is also only an OK-ish actor at best — Owen, for better or for worse, is a far far far better actor and has real presence on the screen.
The question should not be why hasn’t (perfectly nice and fine) Luke broken out and become a big star, but instead, the observation should be how remarkably far being the sibling of a more talented actor — and perhaps most importantly, being a pre-fame close friend of Wes Anderson — has gotten a completely average white guy. |
literally nobody asked this question. |

Focus, people, focus. We are talking about Luke Wilson’s love life.
We are not talking about the impact of a mother’s career on her children, the impact of societal privilege, or the merits of quality acting. This is simply fun gossip. Please don’t ruin it! |
Sure. But, don’t you realize that most adults with commitment issues have a reason for those commitment issues? And those issues stem from childhood. He’s not some ugly poor guy. He’s Luke freaking Wilson. He can get any woman. He can get young, hot, fertile women. If he wanted a wife and child, he could have that. Nobody is turning him down. He isn’t asking. Why? 1. Fear of commitment? 2. Gay? Perhaps. 3. Asexual? Maybe. 4. Just a jerk who drives women away? |
| Clooney got married and had kids. It can still happen. |
Sure. But he was a playboy who always dated younger models, etc. Luke doesn’t seem to date. |
I wouldn’t. I could see why a young dumb star-focker would say yes to an actual celebrity. This guy is just an okay looking working actor. |
An aside but some of us always found Clooney slightly creepy - the fact he is really into pranking people and is close friends with Julia Roberts are two red flags for his true character — and don’t totally buy his insta-family-man stuff either. |
Clooney didn’t date those women. They were under contract. |
|
He date but seems to prefer regular, non-famous women to actresses. |
| What was the last person he dated they we know of? |
Wait- is she terrible IRL or something? |
Exactly. Some people settle just to say they got married but for others they may have not met the right person and don’t want to settle just to settle. I get it. |
Is that meeting the right person just because they said yes? Odd logic you have. |
