Toughest Peloton Instructor or Ride

I think those are “shout outs”; I think people on this thread are using “call out” to mean things like “resistance 40-50, cadence 60-70.”

Speaking of peloton gossip I get the distinct impression that Kendall is NOT in the popular kids club M, specifically the popular girls club which seems to be run by Robin and ally. Between that vibe and her insane wedding I found myself avoiding Ally loves classes entirely.

OUCH PP, you hit me right in the heart! You weren't kidding about different reactions; I'm the PP you responded to, but I LOVE Wilpers. He's my favorite (though I have the app and only use it for running and yoga, so I could have a different experience with him based on that). He seems like a guy who's genuinely nerdy about what he does and loves ever minute. I really like Ben, Matty, and Becs, too. I like that they're more lowkey/"boring" when speaking/instructing, though Matty is definitely extra with his costumes sometimes.

I think Tunde or Olivia have the hardest rides. Love wilphers and others though but I don’t think those long power zone classes are as difficult as some of the shorter classes. But that’s just my body body (I.e., fast twitch versus slow twitch muscles)

Agreed that Andy and Rebecca’s new obsession with filming videos together is a little cringe. I just scroll past it.

I DO love Andy’s technique Tuesday videos on IG - he breaks down a specific move and gives pointers beyond the few quick tips you get in class. I’ve found it very helpful in getting the most out of an exercise and reducing pain.

Re: the gossip about Kendall not being BFFs with Robin and Ally - I think it’s just that she’s newer and obviously Robin and Ally have been friends for much longer. Robin is 39 I think? She’s married, has a new baby…just a very different place in her life than 28 year old single Kendall.

I love all of them though, they are accomplished women and terrific instructors.

I guess kind of? But then she didn’t invite her to the wedding (but did invite like, almost every single other one!). They also posted different pictures at dancing with the stars. Kendall wasn’t invited to the Cody watch party. I dunno I have just started to get real mean girl vibes and am having trouble shaking them off.

Kendall annoys me because I took a class with her once and she had her hair down and it was ridiculous. I also dislike Emma for the same reason. It is so obviously a vanity thing and a turn-the-boys-on thing. Ugh. As someone who has always had long hair - nobody and I mean nobody wants to be bouncing around on a spin bike all hot and sweaty with their hair all over.

Jenn Sherman wears her hair down sometimes and I really don’t think it’s a turn the boys on thing in her 50s. I think they are told to make their “look” different each ride to keep the screenshots looking fresh, so they do that through outfits, makeup and hair. I totally agree that no one in their right mind wants long hair on their neck during a ride though.

I thought the same thing, but I’ve seen a ton of local SoulCycle instructors do it. I always thought it was gross, especially after teaching several classes in a row!

Just chiming in to say that I love Wilpers too. While I do cringe every time he sings along to the music, I find his approach to teaching very thoughtful and thorough. I’ve gotten lots of good tips on running and cycling form from his classes. I find his earnestness endearing.

Good catch, I don’t follow her too closely. That’s too bad although I did judge their vacations during peak covid. Also, did anyone see Olivia’s engagement ring from a few months back?!! It’s huge!
