A murder in Maryland |
Stacey Abrams talking about voter suppression, its history and how she's trying to combat it, on an episode last year of Smartless.
I was totally uneducated on the topic and was shocked. |
Best episode was "My Little Hundred Million" episode of Malcom Gladwell's Revisionist History podcast. it makes the case for not donating money to fancy Ivy league schools and instead donating to schools that attract more working class students
https://www.pushkin.fm/episode/my-little-hundred-million/ he did several episodes on higher ed that were great, but this one really stuck with me. I actually stopped donating to the Ivy League school I went to after listening to this episode. I now donate to a mentoring program for inner city kids instead. best podcast series: Both seasons of In the Dark. |
Definitely “The Agony and Ecstasy of Tab” from the wsj podcast The Journal. It’s about the soft drink Tab and it’s amazing. |
The Cum Town episode where Adam and Stav argue about a breakfast sandwich. |
Leaving Eden. One of the podcasters is a woman brought up in the fundy lifestyle who lives a mainstream life now. |
The Wind Telephone episode from TAL still moves me.

The episode of Armchair Expert where Dax talks about his relapse after 16 years sober.
Several episodes of Revisionist History, but Food Fight and A Good Walk Spoiled stuck with me. |
Do you need a WSJ subscription for this? |
Yes I think about A Good Walk Spoiled every time I drive past a golf course |

There was an episode of This American Life about trans children that came out probably 10-15 years ago. I have often thought of the cruelty these kids faced at the hands of their peers, schools, and even their own parents. At the time, I’d never really thought about or considered trans people outside of vague “LGBT” support and allyship. |
+1. Same! It was so good as we waited for the weekly released! |
