| I just bought a leather jacket, seriously on sale ($600 marked down from $1600) and I had to buy it a size or two down from what I would normally get. Is there any way to stretch it out? |
| Why did you buy it too small? |
| I wanted to get the deal. It's an amazing jacket. |
| Stretching will ruin it. Return the jacket and buy something in your size. |
I can't return it- it's non refundable. (Didn't know this until the purchase was shipped, unfortunately)
I could sell it on eBay for a grand or so but I am really hoping this fits. |
| Lose weight? |
| Where is it tight? |
In the arms and shoulders... |
|
Don't damage it. Cut your losses and post it on eBay before you destroy it and can't get your money back.

+1 leather jackets are not made to be stretched. |
| try just wearing it with thin tees and tank tops, lose some weight, leather stretches slightly over time. Just keep wearing it and working it in. I have an amazing leather jacket that's too small (doesn't zip over my large boobs) but it fits like a glove everywhere |
| everywhere else I mean! |
I got it today and it actually fits great over my stomach and (small) boobs. It's really tight in the upper arms and back- kind of feels like I'm wearing compression bands. But it does fit, just more tightly than I would like... |
| Based on the way its fitting you, I'd say wear it regularly and it will eventually stretch enough to look less tight. Don't manual stretch it though! |
| It is really really tight though- today I tried it on and honestly it felt like it was digging into my arms... will this stretch out over time? |
