| Just get rid of it. Not worth the pain of it digging into your arms jeez |
| Maybe if I lose like ten pounds it will fit better though? |
| Maybe. But you have a shopping problem. It wasn't a deal if it didn't fit. |
| Sell it, but don't expect to get more than what you paid. |
What size are you? Maybe it will be an incentive to loose some weight? Leather does stretch with time, BUT: if the jacket has a liner (which is usually syntetic material), liner would not stretch, it will get ripped. If you don't see yourself loosing some weight to fit into it in a year, sell it now on Ebay, learn your lesson and move on. |
I am a size 4/6, jacket is a size 2 but it runs small. I am 5'5 and generally am about a size 2 or 0. Unfortunately I've been really stressed over the past two years and gained some weight, but I plan on losing some of it. Maybe not down to a size 00, but down to a 2 or so, in a month when I will be moving jobs/cities. So I could definitely plan to fit in it... but I just hate to set that expectation, in case I can't meet it. |
Keep it and lose the weight. |

Depends on where it is tight, and where you carry your extra weight.
I carry all of my extra weight in my stomach and thighs - my shoulders/arms barely change at all when my weight fluctuates 10-15 lbs. So a jacket that is tight through the shoulders - for me, losing weight really wouldn't help that. Pants on the other hand, I can feel a difference of 4 lbs. Also, how is the arm length? If they're short for you, that won't stretch out at all with wearing the jacket, and isn't likely to change when you lose weight. |
| EBay ASAP. Why do you think it was on sale? Too tight in arms! |
Yeah, I carry my weight in my stomach. Which is why I'm worried- I dont know how much weight I can lose in my arms/back, because they are somewhat broad. It's odd because I assumed it would be tight in the stomach, since that's where I carry weight, but that actually fit perfectly, almost a bit loose. And then it's really tight in the arms But it's SOOOO cute!

| Go into a period of fashion grief. You're in denial right now, it's ok. All part of the style mourning process. You might be angry at yourself for buying a jacket that doesn't fit. That's a natural feeling but allow yourself to feel and process it. It will take time but I promise you will find another leather jacket, one that will fit you. Let it go. |
| omg I have this exact same problem! I have a leather jacket that fits fine everywhere except across the armpit area. I can wear the jacket ok but I have limited range of motion where I can move my arms. it's like the jacket is cut wrong. or maybe just wrong for me. I love the jacket but barely wear, I was also wondering if it would stretch or if it could be altered. it wasn't expensive so I'm not really worried about ruining it |
| OP, post a picture! |
Here are some pics of it:

| 1. Not cute. 2. You are kidding yourself if you think it will fit you. |
