Hello,
(I am panicking about the possibility that I am pregnant at age 48). How old is the oldest birthmother you know? I have a high school friend whose mother was age 50 when she had her in the late 1960's. My great grandmother was 45 with her youngest. I know the odds are great but I read a statistic that there are 6500 new mothers btw. the ages of 45 and 50 in the U.S. each year. That is a lot! |
I personally know, would be first time mom at age 44.
Never thought about it but that is a mom, a birth mom places a child for adoption.
My grandmother had her youngest at 48 (before that her next youngest was when she was 32).
My grandmother was 46. My OB said he had a patient who got pregnant at 50 w/ her own eggs, but I assume she did have other interventions.
42 I think. Had her first at 31.
My neighbor was 48. Adopted child and never thought she could get pregnant. Baby was fine.
I am the oldest. I had my second at 42.
