Oldest birthmother you know?

Anonymous
Hello,

(I am panicking about the possibility that I am pregnant at age 48).

How old is the oldest birthmother you know?

I have a high school friend whose mother was age 50 when she had her in the late 1960's.

My great grandmother was 45 with her youngest.

I know the odds are great but I read a statistic that there are 6500 new mothers btw. the ages of 45 and 50 in the U.S. each year. That is a lot!

My grandmother was 46. My OB said he had a patient who got pregnant at 50 w/ her own eggs, but I assume she did have other interventions.

A woman that works with me had twins at 45. She had a 9 year old as well. She was very high risk and stopped working completely by 6 months.
