| I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the premiere of Better Call Saul. I was a Breaking Bad fan, but for some reason I wasn't originally looking forward to the spin-off. I thought that the first two episodes had a great mixture of dark comedy and almost slapstick-y violence. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season. Anybody else? |

I watched the Sunday premiere of Better Call Saul after The Walking Dead and kept falling asleep. So I watched the premiere again last night plus the second episode. Episode one provided lots of character development, forcing the viewer to be patient--a slow burn just like the writing for Breaking Bad during the first season. And woohoo, episode two blew it out of the water! I am in. All the ingredients of Breaking Bad greatness! And bumbling Saul is vulnerable and criminal but loveable. That was some macabre negotiating in episode two.
Love the relationship with his brother. My grief from the Breaking Bad series conclusion (the best show ever) has ended. I am enthusiastically looking forward to Monday nights. Bravo to the creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould. |

Is "Lenny" Saul/Jimmy's brother or father? I thought he is the father.
