Decent Disney offsite hotel for family of five

Anonymous
Family of five going to Disney the last week in June. Because of our size and the fact that we want a kitchen, we are thinking of staying offsite. Up to $150/night would be preferable.

I've been using Yelp reviews, and I don't get it...they vary SO much for every nearby hotel I check. I'm not picky, but I don't want an overflowing toilet or roaches, which are often mentioned.

Any recommendations? Amenities other than the kitchen are not a big deal; we do need at least two queens and a pullout sofa or chair (kids are 9, 11, and 13).

It looks like this is in your price range and the suites have a full kitchen.
We stayed here several years ago, and were very happy with it. It's been several years though...

OP here. Thanks for this. I keep coming back to this one, but some of the Yelp reviews are awful. It's strange to me that one person praises the cleanliness and another claims it was filthy (with photos that back that up) on the same site--and they were there around the same time.

We rented a townhouse close to WDW when we travelled with 5. And it was super convenient and a nice break from the theme parks. Might be in your budget.

+1. Spacious, clean, lots of amenities -- my kids loved the lazy rivers.

I'm not OP, but is Bonnet Creek available for $150/night or less?

We just stayed there for less than that, but time of year makes a difference. I would get a quote from both places mentioned about. I think we ended up using vacation upgrade.

It was awesome.

It's a little outside your budget, but the Residence Inn, Lake Buena Vista has 2 BR suites for $165 (AAA rate). We love the Residence Inn chain and stay frequently in the 2 BR suites for our family of four.

There are tons of timeshares in DW where you can buy people's points, etc. If that's the route you want to go.

I stayed here last spring break for 3 days, and then on resort for 3 days to mix it up. Really preferred the Lake Buena Vista Resort. Huge 2 bedroom place was dirt cheap. Very close to everything. Nice pool, stuff to do around the place.

Especially if you think you will have a few pool days or non WDW days, it is a great option.

We stayed at marriot harbour lakes past Sept for a week and loved it. We're marriot members so we try to stay at marriot properties. 2 big waterparks/swimming pools including a pirate ship and plenty of family activities. Full kitchen and reasonably priced-- close to Seaworld. There are many good offsite options so when we were researching, this seemed like a good fit for us.
