How often does your husband cook dinner

Anonymous
Just wondering about others. My husband never cooks, unless I am not home.....sigh.

I'm a DH.

I do dinner once or twice a week.

However, I do breakfast 7 days a week and make the kids' lunches every day.

So, on balance, I'm doing around 80% of the meals in our house.

Rarely now, because he doesn't get home early enough and I prefer my cooking to be honest.

However he's the early riser and makes all of us breakfast, and does delicious scones, or scrumptious crepes au chocolat on weekends! That definitely makes up for it!

I am DH and I *always* do it -- because I want to control the quantity and type of food served. =)

My Dh cooks all the time, but he's always been into doing the cooking since we dated. I never liked cooking but have gotten more into it since we have kids now.

Ha. Ha . Never. He leaves his plates on the table and won't eat in the am if I don't cook.

What is this thing you speak of?

Never ever ever. But he picks up take out and we eat out lots. So it's all good.

Ugh, never. Even if we order in, i have to make the call. I used to like cooking, but now with two kids, it's just a dreaded chore.

Pp. Here. We joke that DH cooks when we go out to eat.

My H cooks once a week. He does all breakfasts, but really a bagel with cream cheese is not = to a full dinner.

He does dishes and he will grill the meat if grilling is needed. He makes me a drink while I cook and sometimes read the paper to me.

Zero times. But he makes up for it in other ways.

I cook 4 days, he cooks 2 days and we go out 1 day. The 2 days he cooks are days when I have school work after hours. The deal is, I study/write and he makes me and DD dinner and amuses her until bedtime, at which point I spend some time with her.

I am a better cook than he is, but that's because cooking is something I truly love and find relaxing, whereas for him, it's really just a means to an end.

Never.

Never. Though he does all the dishes, and will go get take-out or pick something up on the way home anytime I ask.

He just doesn't cook. At least not unless you count putting frozen pizza in the toaster oven.
