Did anyone attend? How was it? Evening open houses are tough with bedtimes.

We attended the open house and was very pleased. The Head of the School made sure to inform us that the school would be moving after next year and although they have a place promised, of course no place is promised. They were very informative and I really like that they have done a good job of sticking with Montessori principals. They expect to only have about 25 spaces for PK3 after sibling preference. And something like 5 or so for K-1st. Good luck to all who rank it on their applications. It seems like a long shot!

Moving after next year? So 16-17. The IT lease us up then. Where are they promised a building. Interesting choice if words.

It's not clear if IT will be moving out of the building, but it is known that Lee Montessori will be moving. Yes, interesting choice of words. The Head of School stated that there is a building nearby the current location that they have been promised....his exact words, but then he went on to say that we know how that goes because nothing is a sure thing until it is a go.

You didn't read the Shinning Stars thread huh?

I thought that IT had the building in a long-term lease from DGS (something like 99 years) and that only Lee is moving out? (I know IT needed someone to sublease space because it was still growing but was planning on eventually occupying the whole building, at least according to DCUM last year)

ITS has a long term lease. Lee is subletting space in the building through next year.

Should say the lease WITH ITS is up. Inspired Teaching is the Lee landlord for now.
