Trying to find out why i'm having trouble concieving early

Anonymous
SORRY FOR ANY TYPOS OR GRAMMER ERRORS. I HAVE TO TYPE THIS FAST....

I'm 24 years old and planning on getting married next year and me and my soon to be husband both know we want to start a family. We already don't use protection and have been trying for a while. I'm growing concerned that it still hasn't worked yet. With my ex we also never used protection and I also never got pregnant. I want to know now if this is a sign that I will have trouble conceiving. (Also before any judgments or negative statements start both of these guys I was with long term and we were both tested). In the past when I ask my OBGYN they don't give me any clear answered and only blame my weight (235) and irregular periods. After this they don't really look into my concerns anymore.

Here are some of my signs that I notice and what I know so far.

Whenever I sleep with my hubby it seems feel like by body pushes the sperm out. He will cum multiple times inside of me. Some I feel and some I don't. I make sure to lay flat and not move a lot for a while and not to use the bathroom straight after.

I noticed that after sex I usually start having small pregnancy symptoms but them I result in very bad cramping and a bad period.

I have very irregular periods which can also lead to me being very anemic.

I was told I have a small ovarian cyst

Can anyone give me an idea or why I can't get pregnant and also how to get my doctor to seriously look into this. I want to know so I can start planning if necessary.

Could be PCOS.

Oh no what are my chances or options if it is this?

It depends on how bad you have it. Many women with PCOS are able to have children but it takes weight loss, a good diet, and sometimes meds. Your weight, cyst, and irregular periods are an indication.

If your GYN hasn't raised this, maybe you need a new GYN.

I'm just warning you, you are about to take a lot of flak for being so young and unmarried and trying to get pregnant. You might find a friendlier atmosphere at BabyCenter.

OMG...Well I see my regular doctor tomorrow and I;m planning to ask her tp put me on this medicine I have heard about for weight loss (Belviq). I will definitely look into this.

Do NOT try to get pregnant on Belviq. It is NOT approved for use during pregnancy.

Well my boyfriend is away at school for a year so I was going to try and take it and lose some weight then stop. Do you have any other recommendations

Ask your doctor to suggest you a good book on women's health. You would probably benefit from reading up on health generally.

Honestly, my recommendation is do not have children with someone you aren't married to. But you probably knew that.

Why are you opening yourself up to conceiving a child when you're not getting married to next year??? That's an incredible amount of pressure to put on a relationship. You say you have an ex, so how long have you known this guy you're "engaged" to (is there a ring??)

You're 24--no rush to have kids. Get your relationship settled first.

So you're on your second round of trying to get pregnant with a guy you're not married to, and you're only 24?

I have no words.

Yeah, the best I could manage was a slap to the forehead.

You need to get your health under control. First, the weight itself can be causing infertility, because it can cause a hormone imbalance. Anemia is another problem you should address. Are you eating a good diet and exercising? If not, you will have a hard time getting pregnant even if you do lose weight via medication. You need to figure out how to take care of your body.

What is the big rush to have kids?

Some questions here:

How do you know your boyfriend cums inside you multiple times during a single round of sex? That would be exceedingly rare, and I'm not it's possible for men to have multiple ejaculations that close together. Having semen run out of you after sex, even when lying flat, it's completely normal.

You say that after sex you usually start having pregnancy symptoms and then very bad cramping and a bad period. First, how soon after sex are those symptoms coming? Implantation doesn't occur until 6-12 days after fertilization, and it's rare to start having symptoms until at least a week or so after that (you can't have symptoms before implantation). Coincidentally, this tends to correspond with when most women will start to have PMS after ovulation, and the symptoms are very similar, so what you think are pregnancy symptoms could very well be PMS. Also, how frequently are you having sex that this is happening after every time you have sex?

How do you know you're anemic when you get your period? Have you been tested by a doctor during your period to verify this? Your period can give similar fatigue symptoms.

You have PCOS. You should lose weight and get on metformin.

Before you assume everyone is right about PCOS, get a copy of Taking Care of Your Fertility and start tracking your cycles. There are all kinds of things that could be going on, and PCOS is only one of them.
