Son got into LEP Business School. Also admitted into Scholars program (lesser than Honors.) 1950 SAT (1 sitting) 31 ACT (1 sitting) 3.28 GPA 4.02 Weighted 9 AP's

I wanted him to take the SAT's again but he was happy with his ACT score.

Son doesn't want to go to Maryland. He want's to go to South Carolina. We shall see....

Are you in-state? I understand why some kids might prefer South Carolina but that's a big price difference and they are both flagship state schools.

As of a few years ago, South Carolina was aggressively seeking good--but not necessarily stellar--students from out of state by waiving the out-of-state surcharge. If that's still the case, I presume PP's son would be a good candidate for that.
