Are we going to have a new post every day? what do we think? If I had to say, I would guess that they will call a 2hr delay but it will end up being nothing.

I hope for a 2 hour delay. My kids are so much happier when they can sleep in. They go bed at 9:30AM but teens need sleep.

Is this seriously a possibility? Why? Roads are dry... Nothing to freeze!

There's a 1% possibility of a significant snowstorm.
Anonymous
There's no way they will call a delay tonight. The forecast is too uncertain.

I was just out driving near the beltway and I saw trucks out treating the roads, so VDOT seems to be taking the possibility of a storm seriously. Guess we'll just have to see what happens.
Anonymous
Shoot. 15:16 again. Just looked at the forecast, didn't realize they were calling for snow!
Anonymous
I'm in LCPS but guessing 2 hr. delay for both counties, announced even before it snows. Hoping its no more than that!
Anonymous
Oh, no. There might be one snowflake. We should just cancel ;p

Fucking winter.

Get to work and school!

+2

I'm kinda diggin' the 2 hour delay. We never transitioned well back into "school mode" from the 2+ weeks of Christmas break. In fact, having school on time today seemed so strange.

It's fun. Kind of like a mystery grab bag!

The Virginia Department of Transportation is asking drivers to prepare for a day-long storm Wednesday that could impact both morning and afternoon rush hours.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for most of Northern Virginia -- including Prince William, Fairfax, eastern Loudoun, Stafford and Arlington counties -- from 4 a.m. to noon Wednesday, calling for snow in the morning, mixing with sleet and freezing rain later in the day.
