Iamsoccerdork is an ECNLcoach that posts cherry picked datapoints. Likely because they see all the GA growth and are worried about their job. |
seems like that site is correct about the acc. https://x.com/ImYouthSoccer/status/1932890580511830330 |
If I say "package deal", everyone in youth soccer knows what that means. |
Except there is a player on that chart that had almost all their development at FCV (GA club), then moved out of the DMV, spent more time at IMG (GA club), and then left IMG to go home once they committed at beginning of their junior year, and is finishing at at ECNL club (and listed as an ECNL recruit). |
This happens in ECNL more than GA? You’re saying it’s a league-specific situation? |
What is your point? Would you like the chart to show all clubs and leagues for every player? Probably worth noting the FCV coach of that player moved to an ecnl club. |
No we need to know every trainer they used and various clinics attended. Obviously every club in the pipeline would love to take credit so all of these stats need to be taken with a massive dose of skepticism. |
CRAP! my son is currently committed to a D1 school but his U8-10 team is not getting credit.
|
The facts: -ECNL (girls) was established in 2007 -GA was established in 2020 It will take some time, but GA is rapidly trending in the right direction for ACC placement. |
The cope |
Someone please tell the ECNL coach "iamsoccerdork" that more girls ECNL players quit playing in their first year of college than any other league. |
lol.cry more.this is so crazy. sure, the GA name started in 2020 literally months after the DA went bankrupt. the GA is pretty much the DA. it has been around longer than that buckooo. |
How many of the current ECNL clubs were DA ![]() Wait until MLSN requires GA for girls next season. |
I never thought about that. I bet a large percentage of the current college commitments played for a DA club that switched to ECNL. Interesting |
Right, this is why people are saying the ECNL coach imyouthsoccers posts are cherry picked nonsense. Why not post the number of ECNL players that quit in their first year of college? (We all know why) Or, why not post that the number of GA college commitments has gone up every year. GA posts the numbers on their website and has for every year since starting. (BTW ECNL stopped posting commitment numbers on their site for some reason. Wonder why?) Unfortunately if you haven't been around youth soccer for a while its easy for people to manipulate stats to try and sway opinion. |
