Where do you put your keys when you run?

Anonymous
Last week, I put my house key in an open pocket, in the back of my leggings. At some point the keys fell out - and lost. Total pain in the ass.

Some of my leggings have zippers, but some don't. I use a SPIbelt for my phone, but don't want to put a key in there for fear of it scratching my phone.

What else do you use to put your keys? I need something a little larger to accommodate sometimes a car key, or electronic FOB. Any suggestions?

I have an extra house key just for runs. I tie it to my shoes with my shoelace and tuck it in. Never lost a key.

When I used to run, I would get a large safety pin and pin it to the inside of my waistband. To make sure it didn't open (and poke me), I would open the safety pin and spread the two sides further apart, put the key on then close it. The extra tension from pushing the arms apart always kept it shut until I finished my run.

Wrap toilet paper around the key and stick it in your spibelt.

Just bought a Pocket Band for my house key. I also use a SPI belt if I want to carry the dog leash and my phone with me.

It's easier now that it's cold, I simply put them in a pocket (all my cold weather gear has pockets). In the summer, I had a pocket thing that went around my wrist (it was actually for money), but it fit my 2 house keys fine without being uncomfortable. If I don't have anything I simply hold them. YUP, PITB but it works.

This, SPI Belt, or attach a clip to the keychain and clip it to the front of my running bra and tuck the key into the bra.

Wow - I thought that was slang for something dirty, but it's just a boring running gear.

We have a home alarm system so often we'll turn the alarm on but leave the front door unlocked.

Just front door key -- stick in in my jog bra.

I put it in the spibelt with the phone, just make sure the key is touching the back of the phone not the front.

I had a pocket on my laces or on my wrist. I have an extra key for both my car (when I run remotely) or house, so I only have to care one key.

Sports bra. This is probably not the best solution.

Get one of those tiny pouches with velcro that attaches to your laces. Or hide a spare key outside your house just before you take off.
