It’s all there for us to see. The republicans want to ban birth control. It’s part of their party platform and we will see more and more them supporting a ban on weird grounds and setting the terms of the debate.

Like here. We don’t need to debate the logic of this assertion. We need to keep our eyes on the ball and not countenance a ban for any reason. Because there is no reason whatsoever to ban birth control.

Ooh but they’ve got the religious weasels into a happy twist with this one! Finally, the Christian nationalist nation they’ve always wanted is in their grasp, if only Bibi keeps it up in Israel and if the media keeps riding for Trump!

Unless you want to control women.

It’s not but voting women are a threat to Republicans everywhere. Hence the fascist need to control women.

Relax GOP. You are not going to force women to give birth and you will be ok.

Article says she was eligible for an abortion in the state of MI by law. Doctor gave them bad information and should be sued.

Rape exceptions are a lie. From the article:

But amid confusion over what abortion care is allowed in Mississippi, Regina says she was unaware Ashley qualified for an abortion in Mississippi under the law's exception for cases of rape. Yet, even if she was aware, it's unlikely Ashley would have been able to get an abortion in Mississippi; with heavy restrictions in effect and the high penalties on physicians who violate the abortion ban, it is unlikely she would have found a doctor willing to perform a procedure.

Just let women have abortions!

This is why we need to vote for the well-meaning elderly man.

So now doctors are expected to dispense legal advice?

"Exceptions" are there to give cover for lawmakers, not help rape victims. This is heartbreaking. We need to keep these stories in the spotlight. Let's women and doctors decide.

Or you can just make sure doctors are better educated about the rape exception. States like Mississippi are not going to go back to abortion legal until 40 weeks for the simple reason that their constituents don’t support that.

It’s not about protecting children. It’s about controlling women:

Alabamas approach could go national is the SC goes for fetal personhood. Not sure they have 5 votes for that yet.

Or we could have a blue tsunami and overwhelm the women hating freaks and allow medical bodies to police abortion the same way they regulate every other medical procedure.
