| I can't drink beer so I have no idea what brand or type to buy when we entertain. Any suggestions for a beer that is pretty much universally liked? |

Stella Artois
Sam Adams |

You want a few different varieties. We have friends who only drink beer when consuming alcohol. They all like different domestic brands.
Some type of “light” beer - Coors light, Miller light (when I drink beer, this is what I drink) Corona Blue Moon Stella Artois |
| You might consider adding a craft beer to the lineup above. There are great local options to choose from such as DC brau, Flying Dog, Heavy Seas, Port City. iPAs and Porter varieties are good choices. |
Yuck to both |
Great variety here |
| Last time we had a party we did miller light, yuengling, Stella and a seasonal Sams |
Hey, shut up. I love both. NP. |
Oh, great. A beer snob. The most insufferable species of snob. "If it's not a growler from an obscure brewery in central Iowa, I don't want to know about it." |
Not helpful unless you are willing to offer other suggestions. |
| Who drinks miller light? Are your guests plumbers? I'm with the beer snob. Get craft beers. |

I usually get a lager like Yeungling (I'm from PA and I love it, don't care what haters think!), an ale or IPA like Dogfish head, and a craft brew that's seasonal or a wheat beer like Blue Moon.
Sam Adams seems to be popular with my group, as does Heineken (I don't like that one, but if it's what my guests like I'll get it for them). Just get at least one lighter lager and one ale or craft for variety. People will appreciate it! |
White collar professionals. Lots of people drink Miller Lite. |

Same as you, OP. Not a beer drinker. I keep some Sam Adams on hand, and then something 'crafty', usually Flying Dog. I make sure they aren't both IPA, Porter, Dark Ale, etc, just to make sure there is variety.
