Taxi in front of house

Anonymous
Not sure this is the right forum but for the last month or so a taxi has been parking in the street across from my house and the taxi driver stays in the car. He is there for hours. I am sure he is just resting but it makes me a little uncomfortable as I am home with my kids. Does anyone know if there at DC parking restrictions regarding this? Would this make you uncomfortable?

What would he be in violation of? Is he doing anything to disturb you?

OMG. Give the driver a break.

Seriously?

It would not make me uncomfortable. He's been doing it for months without doing anything to worry you, why would that change? Annoyed IF I needed a parking space but otherwise, carry on.

We have something like this occurring in my neighborhood in MD. Just call the police and they will have him move.

To the pps saying "no biggie" you live with it all hours of the day and night, loud talking in the street, etc., scaring little kids when they walk home from school then come talk to me.

On what grounds?

Loitering. His place of business should be not to sit in a neighborhood and using it as his "office."

She said he was resting in his car. If this scares your children, I am worried about your children not the cab.

Huh? It sounds like the taxi driver in OP's post is just resting.

Where did OP say there was loud talking in the street and scared children? She said a taxi was parked with a driver who seemed to be resting.

He parks and stays in his car.

OP, what exactly are you afraid is going to happen? Genuinely curious.

Does he leave it running? Most areas have ordinances against this.
