| My childs father picks up and drops off our child at a certain meeting point. This meeting point takes me an hour to get to as we live in different counties. It takes him about 15 minutes to get there, and thats with the worse traffic. Childs father is never on time. He can be up to two hours late. I have talked to him regarding this multiple times. He just doesnt care. What else can i do or say? Im waiting for hours to drop our child off or to pick him back up. |
| Tell him the meeting point is now your residence. |
OP here. I do not want him going to my house. |
| Would it be better to drive the extra 15 minutes to his home for drop off? You get the short stick no matter what you do. This way you can force him to take the kid when he's supposed to. |
OP here. No, because he isnt always home. I would just be waiting outside of his house in the car. |
| How old is your child? |
| I would just tell him you will wait for 20 mins and then you are leaving. |
this is basically what I was going to write, but I'd wait longer than 20 minutes, like 30 at a minimum. |
This. And, if he does not return the child after you leave, you file in court. 15-20 minutes late occasionally is ok, otherwise he needs to call or text you. |
| My attorney told me to wait 20 minutes and then leave. I only had to do it once. He was never late again. |
| Document, document, document |
And document. Email cc yourself with "we are here waiting for you" maybe add a picture. Also text. Seems like he's done with visitation |
Change the meeting place to a place close to your residence and have him call you when he gets there. |

How old is the child?
Has he always been chronically late, or is this a new thing? |
|
as a PP said you can report him to the court. Actually I think you can call the police but I would not recommend that.
document everything in case either of you wants to change the custody agreement. |
