Egg free special breakfast ideas for Christmas Day

Anonymous
We always have dutch apple baby, scrambled eggs, and sausage for breakfast Christmas morning. This year we can't do eggs. I am at a total loss. Any ideas for a special breakfast that is egg free?

Steel-cut oatmeal - cook according to directions, then spread out in a pie plate. Top with sliced bananas, chopped pecans, and a brown sugar streusel topping. Run under a broiler for a few minutes until the bananas start to caramelize.

Pancakes with syrup, powdered sugar, butter, fruit toppings.

We make the Aunt Jemima ready mix ones. All you do is add water to the dry ingredients. I don't have a box in the pantry now otherwise I'd check. Good question, though.

Not sure if eggs are out because of an allergy or because someone doesn't like eggs. If it's a dislike of eggs, pancakes should work.

Just looked at the ingredients online for Aunt Jemima Complete pancake mix - "May contain traces of egg"

There are a lot of vegan pancake and crepe recipes on line. You can replace egg with mashed banana or egg replacer.

(Oh, and the reason I'm saying vegan is because anything classified as vegan will be egg free)

Op here, it is an egg allergy but thanks! Maybe someone thing with banana as a replacement would be good. And the PP who suggested oatmeal with the streusel - sounds yummy, thanks!

I'd probably do a buffet of sorts with yogurt/granola/fruit, maybe some bagels and cream cheese, breakfast meat, and a quiche for the egg eaters. Seems like enough for the non-egg eater. You could add hash browns too if you wanted

Bagels and bread usually have egg in them, too. Not sure how sensitive the person is to eggs. Sometimes a trace is o.k. and sometimes a trace can mean a trip to the ER.

You can always try tofu scramble. There are some delicious versions out there.
