I like Ocasio-Cortez but she needs to SLOW down. She’s moving too fast and making bad missteps (eg green new deal).

What AOC and other supporters realize is that even if they get a fraction of what the NGD aims for, we will get far more than we will than the stays quo. Now, what ACO and the Democrats have to do is message and steward the deal correctly and get buy in for industry and others. But this is not a misstep.

Climate change is real. Social disparity is growing. The only people who want to believe otherwise
are fossil fuel execs, corporations who want to continue to exploit the environment and workers, and the ultra wealthy.

The Green New Deal is an initial draft for a college sophomore's term paper.

It is not a "plan."

It is a wish-list that is divorced from reality.

It does not set "goals." "Goals" are things that you work towards that are realistically feasible, with an actual plan for achieving the goal. Saying GND sets "goals" is like an extremely obese person making a new year's resolution to lose 100 pounds in a month and calling that a "goal."

It's not a "goal." It's a "delusion."
