Should McLean Pre-ECNL players consider Spirit DA?

A good product will sell itself.

So you honestly believe that trolling posts like the following in a separate thread titled "Girls Travel Team Recomendations" is NOT someone who simply has some axe to grind and then cries foul when when their motives are questioned?

Agree--it's probably more a psychosis at this point. Only meds can solve this issue.

+1000000. One flew over the cuckoo’s nest.

Beware the Ides of March

You're really afraid you will lose kids to Spirit?

No friend of recruiter. I am not.

Then why do you care?

Because I'm a big ol'carebear.

Spirit VA DA was on life support a month ago. They cant even recruit fast enough to replace the talent leaving; let alone build on the talent they have.

Spirit 04 and above is not better then the local ECNL teams. In fact, more kids have left Spirit in these age groups for ECNL teams than has joined. There is more to come next year. You can write these age groups off.

Spirit 05 maybe on Par with area ECNL teams. Not a surprise since they ran a coupe on the McLean 05 team.

The fight is now for ththe 6-07 age group. Hence this thread.

So you are afraid that you will lose kids to Spirit. HAHAHAHAH

I fixed it for you.

Thank you. Typos are so annoying to read through.

We can't lay all of this on the coaches, except whoever is determining Spirit rosters. They also just need tighter rosters with a deeper bench,

Coaches are very good as is. They need a reliable feeder, as the other clubs do. Plan is to try to have GFR be that feeder. We'll see how that works out.

As long as you acknowledge the lack of talent in the players

Lack of talent, no. Relative deficit to FCV et al, yes, especially when you factor in several kids playing up against much bigger and stronger players. But I think that's been acknowledged about a million times and doens't seem to satisfy the resident troll.

PLEASE STOP! It's SO personal. I'm a Spirit parent. I take PERSONAL offense to you generalizing that the players are not talented. I completely agree that depth is missing and roster sizes are too big in many age groups, which, when you try to develop and play everyone, makes for poor results. But stop talking about 11-17 year old adolescent girls like you have any idea about the individuals about whom you are making generalizations.

My DD has had offers in the past at many other top area clubs. Many of her teammates as well. Many who have tested the waters at other clubs this winter already have received offers. Girls who left Spirit last year have landed on area ECNL clubs -- some left by choice, some left rather than play EDP. Either way they were offered ECNL slots elsewhere. The ongoing Spirit bashing is over the top. Make it stop.

Troll or "Carebear"?

It is heartwarming to know that there are people like Carebear who are just doing their best to look out for everyone else at clubs they are not at. Such a warm and generous soul the Carebear is.

Meth infused Carebear may have set the world record for responding to one’s post in a thread. Well done!

Yep, they say it's not the coaches and it's not the players. What else is there to make a great team?
