As someone else said, every radio show takes days off. They get vacation time just like office workers. Something 106.7 does (at least for the Junkies) is they don't all take off at the same time (except for Thanksgiving/Christmas). That helps to retain their audience.

Don and Mike would do the same thing, oh, and forewarn their audience ahead of time when it was a planned day/week off.

Well if 90% has fake chacters/bits, other shows must do a better job at making it seem real..or at least the ones I listen to other than Kane.

The person claiming that 90% of shows do fake bits is full of it.

Technology this day in age allow stations to show evidence of what is being on air is legit.

It's a federal holiday. They are probably closed, much like school and both the federal and state governments.

The photos on Natasha's blog are new from what I can tell. There isn't snow on the ground from what I can see and there are leaves on the freeware trees...There is one "before" photo where there are no leaves on the trees and it appears to be winter but it is a before photo so that should be expected.
