After that first game, I think we can go ahead and either remove Langley from the top four discussion or just hand Madison the crown now. Who does Madison play next so we can see how they measure up against another team?

Madison plays Battlefield Saturday.

Well, I guess on Saturday we will know if Madison is just that good or if Langley is going to have an off year. Time will tell

I’m taking Madison in the BF game by 7

Difference Madison will see Saturday is BF has 3 mids a 2 defenders that are all solid on defense. Plus throw in Towson commit goalie. Hopefully it’s a competitive game. First BF has hands full against Lightridge who would be a solid top 4 in 6A

So there are two BF defenders that are not solid.

Madison & Battlefield are the two strongest teams in the state for 6A. This should be a great match up and whatever the outcome I’m sure they’ll see each other again at States.

This score is very surprising! Especially since Langley has some Capital players (two who were contributors last season too). Might be a rebuilding year for the Saxons after graduating key 2025 players that put the team on their back. Let’s see if returners and new players can develop and fill in those shoes. It’s still early in the season. Good job to Madison coming out strong. They seem to have unfinished business after losing last year’s state championship.

Madison & Battlefield are the two strongest teams in the state for 6A. This should be a great match up and whatever the outcome I’m sure they’ll see each other again at States.

I am not trying to start an argument, just don't know a lot about VA public school lax. How would these top teams stack up against the top public schools in MD?

BF dad here. MDs to ten public schools would beat them easily. But then I think they would be able to stay competing after that, maybe

The difference is the number of girls that play travel in all of Maryland fill up the rosters on that squad. VA doesn’t have depth
