This is correct. The level of play in ISL AA, WCAC is far superior than in public schools and the skill level of these players rise accordingly. This is true even if the players are not starters as they are working at an elite level everyday in practice. Girls in public schools definitely get recruited, but the club is the only lever. ISL, WCAC have a distinct advantage. |
TLC was good a few years ago, the program is no where near the top options in the Baltimore county area, Coppermine basically rose up and took what they were. TLC 2027 is much different than the 2026s same as Coppermine 2026 different than the 2027s and 2028s. |
| Dk why TLC is in dmv list…think they have zero kids outside Balto area |
Girls in ISL AA (at least at the top schools) are all also playing elite club and have been for years before HS. Many choose their HS based on their sport and are coming in at a higher level. So, in actuality, it is the other way around. And, while there are plenty of rich kids in public schools, the wealth level at private schools higher and broader. |
I believe PP was trying to suggest that kids in this area should all have enough family support for the private lessons, recruiting consultant etc. the difference in wealth should not matter in setting a kid up for success in lacrosse skills building or recruiting. |
still interesting to see |
Unfortunately that is the problem with being on a B team. They will get offers very soon but higher ranked teams and players are the ones getting offers and committing first. Once the top 300 are done you will see the second list players start to get picked up. Not a Judgement of the players just a fact of life being a clubs B team regardless of the club. Stay strong and dedicated you will make it. |
| Unless of course, you are on Pride or YJMA A teams. |
| DD was invited to to some visits at schools not on her list over the next couple of weeks. The coaches seemed very eager and had lots of flattering things to say. They sort of implied there would be an offer but after hearing about others experiences I am apprehensive. |
Most prospect camps at the top D1 & Ivies schools at this point are for 27/28. If you are a 2026 parent DO NOT TAKE your player to any prospect camp or specific school camp without making sure there is INTEREST. Have your club coach, high school coach or recruiting coordinator make contact with the college coach otherwise you are completely wasting your time, money and mental space. All of these schools have all their target recruits coming the past three weekends and have offers out. My player was at the first weekend official visit with 15 recruits and they were only taking 9 total. We heard last weekend they had 10 there. That is 25 recruits visiting for 9 spots. This school also has a prospect ID camp coming up. So you can see why making sure before you go to a prospect ID camp as a 2026 that there is actual interest; given all the offers already out with their top tier players. Often times there's one group getting a special official visit and then there's another group of recruits on an unofficial visit that isn't part of the tier 1 group so don't just show up at a prospect day cold turkey. Maximize your time, money and hopes by going to the places that have interest and are aware ahead of time that you are coming so you're put in the best group at the camp so you can actually be seen and evaluated. |
Coaches aren't identifying 300 players and then more on top of that. At most, they could individually track as interested mid to upper double digits. Different teams will be going after different players. And I'm sure there's a better range for it, but players say 150-400+ give or take are all eye of the beholder. |

It is great you know there is interest. Exciting! Interest does not automatically equal an offer but it could lead to an offer. Keep your expectation open and hopefully the interest turns into an offer! 🤞 |
I don't see this publicly? Is it announced? |
