I know, he looks like a total nothingburger. He's strung up by the Russians, and they have something on all the other Republicans, too. There is no other explanation for why anyone would be loyal to that doofus. |

Ivanka wasn’t really close with her mom. I think Ivanka felt immense pressure to be the perfect woman - perfect marriage, perfect children, etc. - so she put on a facade that she and her mom had the “perfect” mother daughter relationship. In reality, they didn’t see each other much and her mom simply had other interests outside her children. Ivana wasn’t super hands on with her grandkids either (specifically speaking about Ivanka’s three… I don’t know what her relationship was like with Don Jr and Eric).
There wasn’t bad blood between Ivanka and her mom, they just weren’t that close… like she didn’t have a strong attachment to her mom… maybe the result of being raised by nannies (which I hate that I’m saying, as someone who also employs nannies!) |
| This was a very interesting article from NY Mag about Ivana and her life and death. https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/ivana-trump-last-days.html |

Eric seemed to be the kid who was closest to his mom. I don't think there was necessarily bad blood between the kids and Ivana - just that they weren't close.
She even said in a book she wasn't interested in babies so probably had no interest in being the doting grandmother to the babies. She had her other interests. You never saw many pictures of her with her grandkids or even not that many with Don Jr/Ivanka. I mainly saw pics of her together with Eric. |
Eric lived near by her NY home. |
This popped up in my google feed. I agree, it was a very interesting read. |
This was fascinating, thanks for posting. |
Agreed. What a messed-up existence. |
What a great quote about being with a younger man: "I'd rather be a babysitter than a nursemaid."
|
She eventually ended up being both the nurse and purse. |
| The place looks so tacky that it's even tacky to mention that. |
