Gift for brother's new girlfriend

Anonymous
My little brother's girlfriend is great and they're pretty serious (just moved in together). She will be spending Xmas with us at my parents. She is super nice and I'd like to get her something. Only problem (lol) is that she is rich and also 25 yrs old. I don't have a clue what to get her. Thoughts? Would like to spend <$50. I feel like jewelry (which would be my default) in that price range is too cheap for her, although I'm sure she'd be gracious.

What else do you know about her? As someone her age, when my husband and I first moved in together, we loved getting things for our new home. Decorative accents, kitchen items, etc. Alcohol is always good.

Hmm she works out a lot (teaches exercise classes) and likes to host parties. Something for the house seems nice, but she does seem to have everything (and in a nicer version than I would buy). I will pull on that thread though.

I think there are lots of good gifts in the <$50 range.

Sephora gift sets, Kate Spade is popular, Christmas ornament of a couple (since they just moved in together), a couple nice bottles of liquor to "stock their bar" in the new place.

I think at this point anything that helps show that you welcome her into the family and welcome her relationship with your brother is a great gift!

Water bottle infuser. I got one last year and LOVE it. I only drink water, and it makes it much more fun.

Lululemon headband and sephora gift set or gift card? Agree that I don't think you can go wrong - very thoughtful.

OP, I just had to take the time to mention that you must be a great person. Are you young also? The fact that you don't resent or criticize, but are instead genuinely warm and welcoming is telling of what a great person you are. That girl is very lucky to have you as a SIL. Keep up the good work.

Unfortunately, I have been left with the opposite. I know you are appreciated.

Gift cert for spa pedicure. bottle of wine. gift cert for a favorite restaurant. pajama pants (my SIL always gets me really nice pj pants...lol). Something for them together - a dvd, popcorn, bottle of wine date night type basket.

Is this stuff hip among the youth? It looks nice, sort of trying to figure out wtf it is...

Haha yes it's me, Nana. I was mocking myself a bit, but despite only being a decade older than her, I am also a nerd, not into make up and fashion and I was just asking if that's like the latest thing or whatever. I might just go with a gift card to a restaurant for both of them.

Wine. Get her wine.

Gift basket from the body shop? Everyone seems to like their stuff.
