I am sure this comment will stir up a lof of conflict but ohh well! So my parents are really wealthy I mean really wealthy and throw around tons of money like it is nothing. For some reason this year they have told my brother and I that they will not be giving us a Christmas gift.
Would you be upset? |
|
"For some reason"???
Are you completely clueless? |
|
Was someone naughty this year?
Maybe you'll get some coal in your stocking from them
|
|
Well, my mom died when I was 10, and my dad died when I was 25. They did leave me a considerable amount of money, but I'd trade it all for them any day - especially my mum.
You sound very spoiled, immature, and materialistic, OP. You're an adult - why do you expect gifts from your parents? |
|
Maybe they're teaching you a lesson?
Christmas is not all about the gifts. |
| Perhaps your entitled attitude is the reason. Just a thought. |
How old are you? What did you give them for Christmas last year? What did you give them for their birthdays? |
| I haven't heard from my kids or grandkids in over a year. They aren't getting gifts either. |
|
Any idea why, OP?
Difficult to say if I would be upset without a little more detail from you. |
I'd show them this posting. Perhaps they'd make an exception to their statement and pony up for some grammar lessons, troll.
|
| it all depends on how old you are. if you are 7, yes, you have right to be upset. are you 7? |
| My parents are also pretty wealthy and I asked them not to give me gifts and focus on the kids. Isn't Christmas really about the kids anyways.....? |
| Oh, think hard--you probably know what "some reason" means.... |
| Maybe they are not as wealthy as you think. Maybe they think you and your sibling are acting too spoiled and entitled. |
| Why would you be upset? it's their money. |
