Gonna be celebrations and tears tomorrow. 😢

Also, having been around Capital for a few years, there can be 2-3 girls in each year that don’t make it in 9th grade but keep playing and working and come back and make one of the teams the next year. Some even work their way up to Blue before it’s all over.

So it is about what you do with bad news tomorrow. If it motivates them, there is precedent that they can still get there if they put in the work and figure out where they need to get better.

That makes two of us. Looks like some folks started at StJ.

Well, I will add if our kids make the same team it’s always good to have fun parents to hang out with at tournaments!

Or you get rid of the old guard and bring in real evaluators. Good luck to all the girls.

I will say I was skeptical about the people who said the teams were all pretty much decided in advance until I saw the shear numbers of girls trying out and heard from my daughter about the difference in talent. I’m thinking 90% of the teams have already been chosen.

What are the next steps in all likelihood? Would the evaluators be expected to meet again this morning? Or is it a done deal at this point and someone just needs to hit he button?

From my understanding from parents who have gone through this in past with Dads, teams were selected and finalized last night. Now we wait to see if some girls turn down offers and then they go to their waitlist

DDs not Dads

So the first round of offers would have gone out last night?

27 parent here. You will receive a phone call. Can’t remember if it was the day after or two days after.

You are probably right. CLC does their homework and has a pretty good idea of who are the strong players before any tryouts. You are probably correct in that 2-4 girls who make CLC B are identified during the tryouts. Assuming that 90% of CLC B are pretty much set, you have roughly 120 girls trying out for 2-3 slots on Blue and 22 for Orange.

Also, just a heads up that the phone call will go to the first primary contact and I have no idea where that is. We still have yet to figure that out and only one of us gets notifications.

The email from Bill Lewis regarding tryouts says the announcements will be by email.

So those pre tryout clinics were actually valuable in having your daughter evaluated prior to actual tryouts? If a coach took interest in your daughter there, does it mean anything?
