Best toddler movie

We're living in temp quarters with 2 boys (3.5yo and 1.5yo), few toys and no access to On Demand or DVR. Kids don't watch much tv (1.5yo not remotely interested), but older son just started watching parts of Frozen at daycare. I've never seen it, or any other recent kid movie (over the last, say, 7 years). Now that it's dark so early and we're needing to spend more time inside, I'm looking for a recommendation for a movie that I put on while getting dinner ready. I could just get Frozen, but since he's watching it at daycare, what else are the kids enjoying these days?

My 2 YO loves all Thomas and Friends, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Clifford. They're all on Netflix streaming, since we don't have cable or antenna. A friend of mine with a younger toddler watches Bubble Guppies.

My 20 month likes How to Train Your Dragon.

My 2.5 yr old is obsessed with this movie called Free Birds. It's on Netflix and DH says it's not bad. He would know, since he's watched it probably 20 times.

Our kid is into old school Disney. Cinderella was a huge hit with our son (and they are right around an hour, not longer like the others)

Get the Daniel Tiger DVDs. It's great stuff. I joke it's brainwashing for babies. Very sweet. two 12 minute episodes packaged together into a half hour. Each one has a song that helps your kid manage his emotions in trying situations. "Parents come back" "When you have to go potty stop and go right away." My 23 month old loves it and very often if she's struggling with something and I sing her the Daniel Tiger song she'll do the right thing.

It's based on Mister Rogers Neighborhood. It's the bomb.

Madagascar, The Emperor's New Groove, Despicable Me, and Scooby Doo episodes have all been hits here since my DD was 3.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Winnie the Pooh and Daniel Tiger are favorite's of ours.
She also likes planes and trains so has watched the Disney Planes movie in the car, and the Polar Express, I think the Polar Express was a bit too old for her (2) but she loved the train.

Winnie the Pooh and Daniel Tiger are both great!

Cars, the first one, has always been a huge hit.

We also like the national geographic "spin" videos on different animals in my household.

Another vote for Daniel Tiger. We just started getting into it and its adorable, and my kid is mesmerized.

You can also check DVDs out at most libraries. My kids are big fans of most PBS kids shows (can watch at pbskids.org too).

I don't want to hijack the thread or turn it into a big debate, but I'm just curious: at what age did you start having your little ones watch these things? We're not big TV watchers and our 9 month old hasn't seen TV, except in restaurants. I'm not in any hurry, but I'm just trying to figure out when to check out something like Daniel Tiger....1.5, 2, 3?
