When I was 12 I was doodling in class. Certainly not crafting complex songs, melodies and music. She’s a prodigy like her or not she just is.

Ehhh, come on, you don't have to be perfect in every area to be a good role model. Taylor is quiet on anything that doesn't serve her best interest, but to me she's still a good model of how hard work and grit is required to be successful no matter where you started from or what you endeavor to do.

I'm glad she's being called out and getting this press, if just because the memes are hilarious, but Taylor can't save the kids from climate change. There's nothing she can do against the lobbyists of the high-carbon sector. She's one billionaire against all the other billionaires who want to keep the status quo and frankly she barely garners true credibility in her own sphere as a singer-songwriter. No one wants to hear her take a stand about climate change.

so we're in agreement that she was never meant to be the climate change spokesmodel. The only ones holding her out as a "role model" are the moms of tweens who don't have to worry about explicit lyrics
