It’s a big deal for Fall birthday kids who have not been able to play with friends from their grade. That’s about it. |
No, you don't see it. I will cause massive team movement across all ages. This means some players will play at a lower age, and some others might even move to a lower team to make space for those trapped players, who, in theory, are better players. |
Yup, that's seems about right. All of this so kids can play with friends. I don't think so... |
It's not so they can play with their friends. It's to make it easier for college recruiting because all players in a game will be graduating the same year, and trapped seniors will have a full team to play with. |
Screams lower-level teams. Yes, it won't matter down there. Enjoy. |
And as Pitch to Pro podcast pointed out a few years ago youth national teams were dominated by Q4 players (something CY was trying to fix) so expect in a few years, youth national teams to be dominated by Q4 players again. So those fall birthdays plus August which are just shy of half of youth soccer most of which will switch age categories and teams and many even switching clubs causing a cascading effect for the other half. Yeah, very little to see here. Emoji |
| Well all I personally care about is for my fall birthday kid to be able to play with classmates. It’s not like she is going to be a professional soccer player so that seems like the most important thing. |
| Any updates from the meeting. |
Yes. |
That's helpful. Care to elaborate? |
8/1 unanimous ...maybe |
| From the USSF bylaw, it seems like only election votes have to be public. They can vote for other topics in private if they want to. I’m sure they’re voting on this in private because of the potential blow back from such a controversial topic |
Is this a leak or just a rumor? Can you hint at where you heard this from? |
How confident are you in this? Are you making it up? |
I think the "...maybe" is a pretty obvious tip that they're just messing around. |
