You are probably right. I think the questions remaining are the exact cutoff date (8/1, 9/1?) and the implementation schedule (25/26? 26/27?). |
| The link shows up as private. Anyone get in? |
| It would have been classic if they said "alright, onto the next topic, the school year cutoff vote..." and then they end the livestream there. |
|
| I’ll Venmo $100 for some leaks |
|
I honestly don't understand what the issue is. It was this way before and was not impactful.
|
Change is always hard. This will be annoying for one year, then it will be fine. |
| There are 25 people in that executive meeting. Someone has to leak the cutoff date tonight |
I think the issue is the initial impact that it will have on a lot of teams and players. Def not the end of the world, but people just want to know so they can plan and prepare. |
It will be a change for individual kids and maybe impactful if they have to change teams. Cause you know...this place is full of parents of individual kids so it's pretty normal for us to be curious on what will happen and if it will impact our child. Doesn't mean its an "issue" because people want to know. |
| So the only tiny mention in the public meeting was from the youth council update, right? She thanked members for collaborating on the birth year conversation. I'm not sure if that hints either way. |
|
It’s been an hour. They may have voted by now. And the Youth Council update referring to the birth year conversation made me think they already had a plan and just needed a vote.
That’s what was happening in the other areas of the presentation. No debate, just a summary slide and a vote |
Of course, this is just a formality. It was decided months ago. |
| Which one of those 25 is the most active on social media? Are they posting or tweeting anything? That can indicate when the meeting ends, not necessarily a leak |
|
If it was ready for a vote, it would've been voted on in the open session with its one-slide. All items that were voted on today were likely reviewed previously judging by the limited content presented.
Board is likely reviewing the information and recommendations provided. Not sure if it will end in a vote today since it'll have to be in private and it looks like their voting takes place publicly? |
