Is there any reason to dislike Herschel Walker?

By any reasonable standard, Warnock is a moderate Democrat, and the Democratic majority Congress is competent moderate government. They take care of the basics of governing and don’t do anything extreme or radical.

Walker and Republicans are devoted to permanent dysfunctional government and chasing conspiracy theories. Republicans couldn’t even pass a budget when they had the President, House, and Senate. There is no good-faith reason for anyone to vote for Walker.

I live in Georgia and receive HW mailers. I dont receive Warnock ones-- which itself is unusual since I live in a swing district and despite my current R views, my voting record has been mostly democratic.

The pitch HW's campaign makes is essentially, "he isnt a democrat." I have received 3 so far. One was handwritten on a postcard and was the most detailed. It said HW would vote to keep government spending down to control inflation, he would support the police and strengthen the criminal justice system, and he would keep men out of women's sports (their phrasing, not mine).

The other one could be summarized as, "he is a Republican."

The final one was on a black mailer in white lettering that said "2023 could be worse." Then on the other side, there were blurbs that essentially said voting for HW would constrain the progressive left.

I think this is effective messaging.

If you currently have R views—after all of this—you’re not a Warnock voter.

I was on the fence, and previously posted here I would vote for Warnock. Im still shakey but likely to vote HW.

If “he isn’t a Democrat” is all it takes to convince you, you are a Republican. Own it.

Yeah, I do. This isnt about me, though. It is super odd that Warnock isnt sending any campaign material to people with a long and established history of voting democratic. It's a tight race, and Warnock's to lose, really.

This is the weirdest take I’ve read. You can email and get on their mailing list, or could have, at any point. Most people want to cut down on junk mail and you want more of it, to the extent that not receiving it will sway your vote? This is seriously just a bizarre way to make the decision.

Well, thats a hot take on campaigning, that it isnt necessary and that it is on voters to seek the candidate's materials.

The party affiliation you’re registered under often determines which candidates send you mailers. Also, if there’s an imbalance in funding between the two campaigns, one may be able to afford more outreach than the other.

Make up your mind. Are you a Republican or do you have a long history of voting Democratic? It sounds like both sides know you are a Republican. Walker's pitch is simply "I'm not a Democrat" and Warnock isn't wasting any of his campaign budget on you.

Democratic campaigns don't piss away money sending mail to Republican voters in Republican precincts. They have two targets - (1) turning out people who are highly likely to vote Democratic if they vote and (2) persuading voters who are non-partisan or merely partisan leans who are persuadable on issues and concerns and candidate qualifications. You do not appear to fit either target group.

Um, both. I have a long history of voting democratic. I now intend to vote Republican. This isnt complicated. Also, as I previously noted, I am in a swing district. And, the only other Georgian to post hete chimed in that HW's campaign is far more dominant than Warnock's.

This is the weirdest take I’ve read. You can email and get on their mailing list, or could have, at any point. Most people want to cut down on junk mail and you want more of it, to the extent that not receiving it will sway your vote? This is seriously just a bizarre way to make the decision.

Here. Pretend this is your mailbox and the Warnock campaign has personally contacted you: https://warnockforgeorgia.com/

Need more pieces of mail to make up your mind? Our campaign understands that the economy is the most important thing to you, so please read where Warnock stands on the economy: https://warnockforgeorgia.com/issues/jobs/

Now the campaign is sending you news about Obama stumping for Warnock: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/obama-rally-friday-raphael-warnock-stacey-abrams-atlanta-rcna54385

Please find out all the endorsements Senator Warnock has received: https://justfacts.votesmart.org/candidate/evaluations/189794/raphael-warnock

Senator Warnock asks for your vote. Decency asks for your vote for Senator Warnock.

Well, thats a hot take on campaigning, that it isnt necessary and that it is on voters to seek the candidate's materials.

Im telling you what is happening in GA. I think Warnock's campaign just isnt showing up in the same way as Walker's. Seeing one billboard for one of the most watched races in the nation is weird.

It’s almost as if he feels he doesn’t have to campaign. Hmmm

What are you talking about? He's campaigning like crazy.

Where? What are you seeing? I dont even see youtube ads.
