Is there any reason to dislike Herschel Walker?

I don’t resent him for his mental disorder (DID).

I do find it funny how any black person and a person with mental illness issues with a different political bent gets immediately raked over the coals by the left. The left is supposed to be the champions for blacks and those with mental health issues, yet here they are bashing him. It shows the left are actually more racist and intolerant than the right especially when one of their “kind” breaks from the herd. Disgusting.

So you support Hershel the guy that beat the crap out of his partner? Who literally takes his fists to people who do not agree with him? Who is only doing this because some Trumpet is paying him to continue the grift?

He was an excellent athlete he still sucks at being a human. And given the job he has zero experience that disqualifies him.

No policies no votes. And screaming my “freedoms” is not a policy maker.

I wouldn’t trust a retired football with 25+ years of repeated head injuries with my Subaru, let alone my vote in the Senate.

Walker ends up running as a batsh#t Independent candidate to try to split the black vote. Seriously. Someone is paying him to run.

I worry about that too. Just a few thousand votes, and Warnock is a goner.

Black people won't be voting for Walker. He may get more out to vote though. He was also married to a white woman. It's Georgia.

Warnock's wife accused him of domestic abuse but the media ignored it as did the Democrats. Warnock himself has said quite a few highly controversial things over the years, but once again ignored by the Democrats. Including whoever removed a number of posts about this in this thread. I'm not sure why - it's public record.

It was ignored by the media because it was investigated and found to be made up, a tawdry little GOP attempt at rat rucking.

Reasons to dislike Herschel Walker, OP? I think people have identified a dozen. The easiest, clearest one for me is that he’s a maga. They need to be struck from polite society but kept from office where they will continue to damage the country.

Nice spin.

All you have to do is to do the research yourself. Warnock does not have a clean past either, no matter how you twist it. He's said a number of extremely controversial things that the Democrats just plain ignore because it's inconvenient.

The bolded tells me all I need to know about you.

That I don’t think fascists and domestic terrorists or their sympathizers like Walker should be in office? You caught me. I don’t think fascists and domestic terrorists or their sympathizers should be in office.

Did he beat his partner? I thought it was alleged. I also believe it was reported that one of his alter egos did it (re: the DID mental issue comment) and he blacked out and had no recollection. It was reported the his wife said he was like a different person. So do you discriminate against him because of his mental illness or simply because you think he’s an angry Uncle Tom?

Never change Republicans. Keep throwing uneducated and unqualified black candidates like Herschel Walker and Kim Klacik into these major races and they will keep losing.

Which means you will keep losing. No one's voting for a football player with CTE and a stripper.

You want the black vote? Find a Barack Obama. Find a Raphael Warnock. Hell, find a Condolezza Rice or Colin Powell.

But oh - I forgot - they were smart enough to get the heck out of dodge and leave your failing party.

I support people receiving the best medical/mental care possible

I do not support someone who has multiple personalities and violent tendencies as an elected official.

Sure, he might get some UGa football fan votes and the Trump vote, but that won't be enough in Fulton County to legitimately win. That is why the passed the legislation that says the state house (controlled by the GOP) can choose the winner irrespective of the popular vote in the state.

lol. Seriously? What a an incredible way to guarantee the results a certain set want. They can just pick the winner???

I wonder how many posts decrying fellow posters as racists there would be if there was a thread about a black Democrat candidate where the majority of posts were calling the candidate dumb?

The perfect crystallization of privileged, East Coast liberal white racism is telling people you wouldn’t trust a black man who you called “dumb” with your Subaru. WTF?

You are young, pp, and have a lot of growing up to do. Study up on fascism and domestic terrorism. You have no clue what you are talking about.

Wrong, there are multiple threads about all the new election laws in Georgia and this is one of them. What do you think all the outrage has been about all this year? It wasn’t just about passing out water in voting lines.

How's it going? A complaint has been filed against Republican US Senate hopeful Herschel Walker. The complaint says Walker violated the law by spending money as a political candidate before filing required paperwork declaring his candidacy interest in the race."

Another GOP violating the law. Another Republican with messy finances.

Yeah that's a NO vote for Hershy, let him remain a great football player he's a criminal

BS. Yes he hit his partner. Mental illness does not excuse that behavior what the H is wrong with you?

He has hit others as well again mental illness does not excuse someone from putting their hands on someone else.

Mental illness in this case 100% disqualifies him from office.

He is unfit period. No experience! No Policies of his own only Trumpy garbage, meaning he will steal and grift and do nothing for the people who voted for him. Good example Jim Jordan 14 years in office not once has he done anything. In any other job he would have been fired the first month.

He is a prop for the GQP and should not be voted a yes.
