Unsurprising since Verma worked for the state of Indiana and one of its biggest contractors at the same time.

More on Seema Verma: your tax dollars used to burnish her image
“The Trump administration reportedly paid a PR firm more than $2 million to get a top healthcare official on 'Power Women' lists and magazine covers.”

New report finds that Indiana officials "quietly absolved Amazon of responsibility" for a warehouse worker's death in order to aid the state's bid for HQ2. "They deleted every fine levied and accepted the company’s argument—that the worker was to blame."

Hahahahahahahaha the Senate GOP doesn’t have anyone who wants to chair the Ethics Committee.

“A prime chairmanship is poised to come open in the Senate next year. The problem? No GOP senators seem to want it.

Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) is set to retire in approximately a month, creating an opening atop the Senate Ethics Committee, a behind-the-scenes panel responsible for enforcing standards of behavior for senators and their staffs and investigating potential violations of federal law or the Senate’s rules.

It’s the sort of responsibility for internal policing that makes a volunteer stepping forward to lead the panel starting in January unlikely.”

The GOP may as well dissolve it.

Of course they don’t want to chair it - the GOP Senators are all ethically challenged!

More GOP voter fraud:

“U.S. Rep. Steve Watkins' decision to sign a Kansas voter registration form and two other election documents that asserted his residential address was a UPS Store in Topeka could constitute felony voter fraud under federal law and election perjury under state statute, officials said Tuesday.”

“An outside group founded by top political aides to Sen. Joni Ernst has worked closely with the Iowa Republican to raise money and boost her reelection prospects, a degree of overlap that potentially violates the law, documents obtained by The Associated Press show.”

“Dannenbaum, a Houston resident who served a six-year term as a University of Texas regent, admitted to a federal judge that he helped employees make illegal donations to the re-election campaigns of a candidate for the U.S. Senate and two candidates for U.S House of Representatives in a single year. He pleaded guilty to a single count of making contributions in the names of other people when he gave $10,000 to $25,000 in a single year by illegal means.”

Revisiting the very first post in this thread, quoted above: of course Taylor was the guy Rudy wanted as ambassador to Qatar instead of a career foreign service officer.

“President Trump had nominated a career Foreign Service officer to become the U.S. ambassador to Qatar, a key post in a Middle Eastern country with tricky regional relationships, an important U.S. military installation and vast oil reserves.

Giuliani, who has said he had held a cybersecurity contract with Qatar in 2017 and early 2018, proposed replacing her with someone he said would be a better fit — Scott W. Taylor, a Trump-supporting former congressman from Virginia defeated in his reelection bid in November 2018, according to people familiar with his outreach.

Giuliani’s previously unreported attempts to shape the pick for the U.S. envoy to Qatar are part of an unorthodox foreign policy portfolio he has carved out for himself while also working as a power-broker-for-hire with direct access to the president and top administration officials.”

A special prosecutor in Virginia has said that he's presented two indictments of election fraud against someone who worked on the failed re-election campaign for former Republican congressman Scott Taylor last year.

Rep. Scott Taylor said he would fire any involved in fraud scandal in August, but the four staffers remain on his payroll.

What’s the upshot for Taylor and the Virginia GOP? He’s running to be their candidate for Senate against Mark Warner.
