And then Natasha realizing she was actually the aggressor hid from the investigating officers, who dropped the charges against Kane. I read the article and there are a lot of details you wrote here that were not in the article. If it happened the way you say, then I really feel bad for her. It sounds like her world was falling apart. Even something as minor as being late could trigger her to crumble. Oh, and I have no doubt Kane was manipulating that situation to drive her nuts. I’m not surprised she developed a substance abuse problem. She was really suffering.

Absolutely agree. Clearly the above person isn't a mother, because trying to stop a mother from getting to her children would make anyone despondent.

Furthermore, I don't think she hid from investigators. Could she have been intimidated into keeping quiet and thus having the charges thrown out? Makes you wonder.

Yes! Based on the dynamics here, I’d say this is the only thing that makes sense. She was (possibly still is) scared shitless of him. He got arrested days later because she was too scared to go to the cops then and needed encouragement. Then after he’s arrested, he either intimidates her into keeping quiet so charges are dropped or offers her something in exchange for her keeping quiet. It’s very common for abusers to manipulate their victims into dropping charges.

I don’t think it was just about money, she didn’t just get a boyfriend, she had a BABY. I bet she felt like when she lost custody she was losing her kids forever. Being a mother is her identity. I think it was more about having a child to take care of then having a man to support her. That’s the only thing that explains her moving in so fast which is not typical especially among victims of abuse. If Kane hadn’t taken her girls away, she probably wouldn’t have moved in so fast.
