That’s my take-away from this! WTF on those parents?! Especially when the parents acknowledged he was showing a special interest in the child!

There’s a local parent who got arrested for having an inappropriate sexual relationship with his client. He was a psychologist and client was under age. My children are at the same schools as this person‘s children. Another parent in the friend group said they didn’t want to hear anything about it because it was gossip. This person spent time in jail. It was not gossip, there were news articles. I cannot believe they wanted to bury her head under the sand. Now that person‘s daughter is the same age as the person who he an inappropriate relationship with. I wonder if she allows her daughter over to his house because hes back living in the community.

The victims (little children!!!) have a public YouTube account. What the hell is wrong with the parents? All of this is insane. Maybe there is a lot more going on here than reported in the charging documents. Those poor babies. I hope there is a GAL appointed.

It’s still up as of today. Yes, the mom knows and hasn’t taken the channel, showing her two little children, down. Disgusting.

Thomas Mahony’s son last swam for ASA on July 20, 2025. Very recently. That was Long Course PVS Champs. I wonder if Thomas Mahony was at that meet. It was right before his arrest.

The recent Washington Post article says there’s a 4th victim. I wonder if that 4th victim is part of Mahony’s kids’ apartment building, ASA, MVP, or former public school community.

Investigators are still asking additional victims to report Thomas Mahony’s inappropriate behavior.
This monster needs to be locked up for as long as possible, as these perpetrators never stop doing what they do.

Disagree. As a parent, those sentiments and ideas are either already known or unnecessary. Does any organization tolerate any level of sexual exploitation? We get all the safesport notifications (and all watched videos that helped get the certification) and we know the policies on viewing practice and bring on deck from other communications. And saying they are deeply saddened is assumed.

I wish I hadn’t read the WaPo article with the mother saying she walked in on her child with the man, and was so shocked she just shut the door and went back to the living room. holy $hit. She just left her kid in there. I’m speechless.
