I don't know why a previous post of mine was deleted, but I'll repeat it here. The mother of two of the victims reported to the Post that she was warned by a neighbor that there had been a previous claim of sexual abuse against this man. And yet she chose to leave her daughter and son alone with him while she took a nap and her husband went shopping. Read: "The mother also told detectives that in June, a month before her children came forward, a neighbor had warned her that a girl around her daughter’s age had reported Mahony for sexual abuse in 2023. The mother said she discussed the allegations with her husband. Her husband told detectives that they had decided to give Mahony the “benefit of the doubt.” " This is not normal behavior.
That’s my take-away from this! WTF on those parents?! Especially when the parents acknowledged he was showing a special interest in the child!
There’s a local parent who got arrested for having an inappropriate sexual relationship with his client. He was a psychologist and client was under age. My children are at the same schools as this person‘s children. Another parent in the friend group said they didn’t want to hear anything about it because it was gossip. This person spent time in jail. It was not gossip, there were news articles. I cannot believe they wanted to bury her head under the sand. Now that person‘s daughter is the same age as the person who he an inappropriate relationship with. I wonder if she allows her daughter over to his house because hes back living in the community.
