Will Maga just watch the sinking ship or admit they were wrong?

Harris told us exactly what she would do, and voters didn’t believe her.
Trump ALSO told us exactly what he planned to do ( aside from magically fixing the price of everything day 1)
But he told us he planned tariffs. He told us he planned to get revenge on political rivals.
He told us he wasn’t going to support Ukraine.
And voters didn’t believe him.
So I don’t know how you win with an electorate that is immediately and unfailing credulous with whatever republicans tell them and completely unwilling to believe democrats.

There’s a message here for us. There’s a reason people don’t believe what we say. It’s that we lie, mostly to ourselves. We insist that middle and working class Republicans are “voting against their own interests” because we imagine ourselves to be the party of compassion and competence. But income inequality has never once decreased under Democrats in our lifetimes. We deny that we’re the party more favorably disposed toward illegal immigration. Is that credible? We deny that we are the party of LGBTQIA+ indoctrination in schools. Is that credible? We have to be honest with ourselves. If we can’t even do that, we shouldn’t be surprised that voters don’t believe us.

100% accurate.

Seems crazy to us after all the Ukraine flags we’ve waved. But it’s true.

Why would we want Ukraine to continue in a war they can't win? Democrats don't want Trump to end that war because it would be a big win for him. He might even get the peace prize. Voters didn't vote for revenge but to right many of the wrongs of the Biden failures. Bush and Obama imposed quotas and Tariffs on the Chinese so this is nothing new.

Why would Trump get the peace prize for stabbing Ukraine in the back and enabling the hostile takeover of a sovereign nation? That’s not how it works.

Russia did the hostile takeover. If not for the U.S. they wouldn't have survived as long as they did. They are running out of fighters even with the money coming in. That is how it needs to work, Russia is in a better position so we will see.

🙄

Opinions that disagree with Democratic leadership orthodoxy are not “pure propaganda,” but the fact you view even the mildest criticism of the Democrats as heresy is yet one more reason we lost.

Lots of dickheads posting “ we” this and “we” that.
No one here with a functioning brain thinks you are apart of “we”. Whether that means you are posting from the MAGA far right or the idiotic far left. You bag-of-dicks are not a part of the democratic “we”. F off.

The drama and lies. That pp is full on MAGA. So many tells. Go to the Dump Schumer thread and you will see plenty of actual Democrats criticizing Democrats.

So, in essence, to answer this thread...yes, these MAGA will go down with the sinking ship pretending that they are Dems.

Everyone who disagrees with the status quo of the Democratic Party is not a "fake" Dem. You sound like MAGA, as though there isn't possibly anything the Democrats do wrong, and anyone who doesn't vote for them is stupid/an enemy.

We just lost an election. At what point do you become willing to reevaluate and admit something isn't working?

Stop acting like these are football teams. You're supposed to hold your representatives accountable. They work for us. We are not fans and we are not spectators.

Nope, Trump owns this chaos all on his own.

If he wanted to reverse policies he could have done it the lawful way considering the Rs in Congress. That he chose to follow Project 2025 shows he wanted the economy to crash regardless of anything the dems did.
